The Oriental Institute is located on Pusey Lane in the heart of historic Oxford and is adjacent to the Sackler Library and the Ashmolean Museum.

Both the Oriental Institute and the Institute of Chinese Studies are just a few minutes' walk away from the Oxford bus and coach station, and about 10 minutes away from the railway station. Unfortunately, the Oriental Institute has no car parking facilities, although on-street metered parking is available on streets nearby.
