  • Cultural and intellectual history of early modern and colonial South Asia
  • North Indian musicology and aesthetics
  • Early modern literature (Brajbhasha, Urdu, Bengali, and Maithili)
  • Hindu theology and bhakti
  • Court cultures under the Late Mughals and British colonialism
