- The intellectual history of Muslim-Jewish relations (medieval and modern)
- Ibnc Arabi (especially his Fusus al-Hikam and the Rasa'il Hyderabad edition)
- Islamic thought in Eygpt from the 1920's to the 1940's.
- 'Jewish Sufism' in late medieval Egypt
