The conference 'Abū Maʿshar al-Balkhī: a ‘philosophus’ in Ninth-Century Baghdad' will be held on Friday 26 October and Saturday 27 October at the Warburg Institute, Woburn Square, London WC1H 0AB. This conference has been organised by Charles Burnett (Professor of the History of Arabic-Islamic Influences in the West, the Warburg Institute, University of London) and Peter Adamson (Professor of Late Antique and Arabic Philosophy, Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich). Liana Saif, one of the speakers, is a British Academy Post-doctoral Fellow associated with the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
