  • Research in 'Learner centered' approach to teaching and learning Tibetan as a Foreign Language (TFL)
  • Advances in and development of Tibetan vocabulary and idioms in the media - newspapers, journals, films and web blogs
  • The Ladakhi Lochak Mission to Lhasa since the seventeenth century with John Bray
  • Tibetan calligraphy

  • Writing instructional materails for Beginners in Tibetan language 
  • Writing instructional materials for conversational Tibetan - Intermediate and Advanced levels
  • sGa A gNyan-dam-pa - biography of a 13th century Tibetan Lama at the Yuan Court in collaboratoin with Dr. Brenda Li
  • Advent of Buddhism into Tibet - according to the Chronicles of dBa' gSal-sNang in collaboration with Dr. Michael Willis, British Musuem
